This traditional Tuscan dessert from Siena is a dense, sweet cake made from candied fruit, honey, and nuts. Packed with nutrition, Gladiators ate panforte as an energy bar back in ancient Roman times. Today, this elegant ‘Torta’ is a wonderful accompaniment to cheese or enjoyed with a glass of dessert wine.

Ingredients: candied fruit (orange peel, citron peel, glucose fructose syrup, sugar, concentrated lemon juice), almonds, sugar, wheat flour, honey, spices, icing sugar (sugar, corn starch, vegetable fats: sal, cocoa butter), wafer (potato starch, water, olive oil). May contain walnuts, hazelnuts, mustard, pistachios, coconuts, milk, egg, soy.
