Celebrating 40 years of Broders’ Cucina Italiana!

Molly & Tom Broder opened Broders’ Cucina Italiana on May 12th, 1982 and it has since become a neighborhood institution in southwest Minneapolis.  We’ve shared countless pastas, pizzas, and memories with all of you over the years.

It all began with a trip to Italy that sparked a passion for authentic, freshly produced pasta. This passion turned into the first of many iterations of Broders’ Cucina Italiana. Producing the highest quality and freshest pastas available in all of Minneapolis for locals to cook at home and other small businesses to share. Many trips later, we now import fine specialty products available from all regions of Italy and busily prepare a range fresh foods, from antipasto to dolce.

These past few years have brought unprecedented challenges and opportunities for reimagination and a reminder of our purpose and passion. The Broder family has continued the tradition and expansion to include Broders’ Pasta Bar (est 1994) & Terzo (est 2013), all located at the corner of 50th and Penn.

Our newest endeavor includes nationwide shipping of select fresh pastas, lasagnas and stromboli as well as our signature sauces which are also available around the Twin Cities at local co-ops and grocers.

Whether you’re dining in, taking food to go, having it delivered to your door, catered for your event or shipped nationwide – we look forward to serving you and sharing our passion for Italian cuisine.

Today we celebrate more than just 40 years of operating, we celebrate the individuals who have contributed to the success, longevity, and future of Broders’ Restaurants.
